Dr. Stephen Wieder is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. He has specialized in the diagnosis and pharmacologic treatment of complex psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents, and adults for 30 years. Areas of special interest include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Tourettes Disorder and Asperger's Disorder. He is well known for his work in the Merrimack Valley, southern New Hampshire, and on the North Shore of Massachusetts. He is on the staff of Anna Jaques Hospital where he consults to the Child Psychiatry Inpatient Program. Dr. Wieder also provides diagnostic and pharmacologic services to Harbor Schools and Family Services in Newbury MA, a large residential program serving disturbed teens. He is employed by Health and Education Services to provide psychopharmacologic services through Mental Health Centers in Haverhill MA and Lawrence MA. He additional sees patients privately through Wieder Psychiatric Services located in Newburyport MA.

Dr. Wieder is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and the 1986 recipient of the Association for Retarded Citizens of Greater Lowell Distinguished Service Award. He consults on treatment refractory psychiatric cases, is a supervisor for psychiatric clinical nurse specialists, and lectures on issues in psychopharmacology in complex psychiatric patients. Dr. Wieder receives patient referrals from Southern Maine and New Hampshire, and throughout Massachusetts.
